Missions
Jason Driggers
Minneola Community Church supports Jason Driggers as the RUF Campus Minister Marshall University. For over 25 years Reformed University Fellowship (RUF) has had a vision to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve. RUF is the campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church of America. Through the grace of God, RUF has grown to the point that it now has a presence on over 119 campuses around the nation.

Jason is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary (M.Div). He was raised in Columbia, SC and attended Spartanburg Methodist College for his associate degree and then transferred to Columbia International University to finish his bachelor's degree.

He and his wife Hannah have been married for 7 years. Hannah is a nurse practitioner. She attended Wheaton College for her undergraduate degree and Vanderbilt University for her Masters of Nursing. They have a little girl, Ruby Ellen Driggers, born on Jan. 22, 2006.

Roger and Susan Garland
Roger and Susan Garland work with Wycliffe Bible Transalators. They were missionaries to Papua New Guinea for 13 years where they lived among the Mt. Koiali people and completed the New Testament in their language. Roger now works with an affiliate of Wycliffe called The Seed Company, which seeks to empower nationals for Bible translation by delivering training and consultant help plus developing resources of prayer and funding. Wycliffe looks to The Seed Company to find creative ways to forward Bible translation by encouraging development of projects where local people take the primary responsibility for translating the Bible. Roger has been actively involved since the beginning in 1994. Currently The Seed Company is engaged with 240 people groups and expects to begin translation work in 200 more projects over the next three years.

Andrew Creswell
Andy Creswell served the Minneola Community Church as pastor when the church was first formed. After feeling the call to the mission field, he and his family served for many years with Sudan Interior Missions in Sudan, Africa. He is now retired, and lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. He has full retirement benefits with SIM. Andy has been a life-long laborer for the Lord through his witness and example. Though back from his field in the Sudan, he continues to keep in contact with Sudanese friends, and to lift them up in prayer. Our church family has been blessed by his dedication and service to the Lord.

Great Plains Christian Radio
We support KJIL(99.1 FM) and KHYM (103.9 FM), radio stations with Great Plains Christian Radio, based in Meade, Kansas. The stations provide Christian programming for all of Southwest Kansas, Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle.

Glenda Riley
Glenda grew up in the Minneola community and the Minneola Community Church was her first home church. After a teaching career in Hutchinson, KS, Glenda went to Hong Kong and then Taiwan to work with the mission program of the Evangelical Free Church of America. The mission is now known as Reach Global.

Glenda works with adults and university students, helping them improve their English skills through conversation classes. Most of our students do not know Jesus Christ in a personal way. Each class also includes a devotional time, when we can share the message of God’s love with our students. We also have a weekly Bible study, which is available to our students. Our purpose is to share God’s love, with the English classes being a way to make contacts.

Glenda also is involved in an International church, where she helps with the women’s ministries. Most of the attendees of this church are foreign workers in Taiwan. Many of them find Glenda’s home a great place for fellowship, especially during holiday times.

R&H

R & H live in a large metro area they call “Big City” in Asia. They have lived among Muslims for 9 years, many of whom they pray will follow Jesus. They also now seek to help abused women and children, particularly those who have been prostituted and/or trafficked against their will.

PRAYER NEEDS
1. Guidance on where to live in Big City when we return, that God would open the right door with the
     right Muslim landlord.
2. Direction on whom to partner with, as we seek to work in aftercare to sex trafficking survivors
3. Confirmation to various friends (both in USA and in Asia) who are considering joining us in this ministry

Tim and DeAnn Garrett, Jacob, and Katie
Have you ever thought about going on a mission trip but didn't know how to go about it? Tim Garrett of Minneola has devoted his life to the mission field, and is now helping individuals and groups share their faith with people across the Atlantic.

Tim is the Midwest Regional Representative for Greater Europe Mission. He covers Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota. Greater Europe Mission (GEM) is an organization which places short-term and long-term missionaries in European countries. With their help, every year hundreds of individuals fulfill their dream of sharing their faith with people across the Atlantic.

Greater Europe Mission helps people in Europe find faith in Jesus Christ and grow in that faith. They do this by sharing lives with people and helping them discover the message of the Bible for themselves through Bible study groups, church meetings, street theater, puppetry, sports, music, teaching and more. They reach out to orphans and AIDS patients. They send teams to help construct and repair buildings. They help people study the Bible through distance learning in many countries. They seek to come alongside the people and churches in Europe who are following Christ, and participate in their efforts to reach the continent for Christ. GEM sees witnessing fellowships develop through the pursuit of these primary emphasis areas: prayer, ministry, community, collaboration, discovery and training.

Tim, his wife DeAnn, and children Jacob and Katie make their home in Minneola. They are actively involved with the youth in our community.

If you would like more information about the short-term mission trips, Tim can be reached at Tgarrett@GEMission.com. Website: www.gemission.org
